This was such a special wedding to be a part of. Carolyn and Todd had an intimate gathering of close friends and family, and the love for the couple was truly evident throughout the days events. There was laughter and tears shared by all. We absolutely love the Estancia. There are endless photo opportunities on the beautifully manicured property. There are intimate outdoor gardens that offer a variety of ceremony sites, elegant indoor spaces, and it’s all set in a unique rancho style. Carolyn & Todd’s ceremony was on the Olive Lawn, and the reception was set in the courtyard lawn, in a casual style. There was a chef preparing gourmet quesadilla’s with all the fixings (which we had to partake of) and the chocolate fountain was a crowd pleaser as well.

I love so many of these images, they are so full of life, but I especially love the sequence of when Todd first saw Carolyn, they are such a precious couple. Congratulations Carolyn and Todd!

I’d never been to the Griffith Observatory before, so I got pretty excited when Jonathan and Angel liked my idea of shooting their engagement session there. They surprised me by bringing along their little doggy Pommie! She is just so cute! We had fun running around with her and tried to use her in the majority of the photos because she had serious separation anxiety when I held her leash to try and get some shots of just the two of them. The poor little girl was shaking! Jonathan and Angel love their photos with little Pommie, and she was quite the celebrity at the Observatory. Everyone stopped to ask what breed she was, what her name was, and wanted to pet her. I’ll be shooting there wedding next month (can’t believe it’s already July) at the Houdini House in Laurel Canyon so we’ll have some awesome shots from that too.

We just shot Sam & Wilfred’s wedding in Long Beach, so we’ll have photos from that soon, but I wanted to share their engagement photos. I met them in Palos Verdes and then we drove around to find a few spots to shoot. The three of us hit it off right away because they are both runners, so we got to talking about our recent race experiences! Samantha totally beat me out with a story about swimming all the way out to Catalina island, how cool is that!! Anyhow, these two were totally meant for each other.
