Hawaii – O’ahu

Many of you have been asking about our trip to Hawaii, and I wanted to get some images up on the blog, so here’s a few that we like! We actually went out with Victor and Rachael and their kids (my sister & her family) so we had some time to be with family which was really nice. They had hooked up a condo through a friend of theirs about 20 minutes outside of Honolulu and it was a gorgeous location. We were in walking distance of several lagoons (which the kids loved) and also right next to a marina so Vic & I went fishing with a neighbor that we met while BBQ’n it up near the pool. Thanks again guys for letting us stay with you! I’ll do Hawaii again any day.
We stopped and got some sea food from these little shrimp shacks near the North Shore on our way to Turtle Bay.
A lot of the island has sandy beaches but the east coast has some fantastic cliffs, so we pulled over and found a little shrine on the cliff.
We stayed downtown for one night. Here’s the view of Honolulu from our hotel room.
This is looking back towards Honolulu from the freeway (west bound). I saw the clouds and everything so we pulled over really quick and went up onto an overpass to grab a this shot.
Shaka bra Vic!
Asa in the tide pools looking for fish and other watery creatures.
Here’s a fraction of the family (the other boys are scouting things out) just before grabbing lunch.
And here’s desert! Some snow cones with ice cream at the bottom. YUM! (the kids didn’t sleep for 3 days after these)
At Turtle Bay we thought we might not see any turtles until this huge female made her way up onto shore for us!
Evelyn’s getting some air!
