Big Sur, San Luis Obispo & The Ingalls

A few weeks ago when we were in San Francisco for a wedding, we drove down south the day before the wedding to visit our good friends Cameron & Anna Ingalls in San Luis Obispo. What a sweet little town. They made us breakfast (short stacks!!!), took us all over town and even bought us some Juice-it-up! They seriously rock. If you’re ever in SLO make sure to look them up. On our way down we drove through Big Sur which was an amazing drive, and we snapped a few photos along the way, including our little excursion into a strawberry picking farm which we thought we’d share with you. We picked until it was totally obvious by our red stained fingers that we were eating more than were putting in the basket!

We asked this guy to take our picture (which you can see below in the smaller images) and while he was showing us his camera I snapped a pic of him.

Here’s a collage of images from the coastline, our strawberry picking, stuff at the beach, and our hotel.

Outstanding! I LOVE the berry farm adventure pictures. We had so much fun hanging with you guys and could have only wished for more time. Thanks so much for making the trip to see us. It was so refreshing for both Anna and I! P.S. That random lady on the street did a pretty good job with Emi’s point and shoot.
I’m telling you man that G7 is a great point-and-shoot!
What is the point and shoot recommendation? I’m looking for a new one…my canon is pretty grainy… Um, Emi…LOVE THE HAIR!!!! And Michael, you’re so handsome and the pics are fantastic..I want to print some of them off for pics to hang in my house..someday I’ll have you point and shoot for all my decor..I LOVE YOUR STUFF!!!
Ok, so the G7 is not for everyone. Its definitely on the bulky side for a point-and-shoot, but it does put out some great images. I think it’s an 8.0mp camera, so the quality is pretty surprising. Granted, it’s no SLR so it doesn’t perform well in all situations (i.e low light) but overall it does a great job. Gotta love the facial recognition too!
I’m not sure which canon you have, but the G7 might be worth the upgrade. I would go check one out at the camera store before you buy.
