Monica & Amir – Castle Green
April 4, 2008 | Filed Under Wedding by emi |
Going to this wedding was like stepping back in time. Not only does the Castle Green lend towards a sophisticated, historic feel, but that combined with well chosen details, color schemes and the grace and elegance of Monica made for a lovely wedding day that reminded me of scenes from Somewhere in Time. I’m hoping you’ve all seen it. It’s a classic.
The ceremony was my favorite part of the day. There was such emotion and expression shown for these two, and also from them. I love the images of Monica being handed to Amir, the bittersweet face of a father who simply treasures his daughter. While I’m sure most fathers feel what this man is conveying in his face, not all show it in front of 150 people. Monica’s father was very precious, he made both Michael and I cry when he gave a toast and at one point we weren’t sure he would be able to finish. This is what I love most about my work, conveying in a still image, the raw emotions of the human heart.
Congratulations Monica & Amir! Thank you for having us share in your joy.
