Ryan & Marcella – University of Redlands

Ryan and Michael met in college, and they’ve been friends for years, so it was a real honor to photograph Ryan’s wedding. Marcella is such a sweetheart, and we’re so happy that Ryan found her!  Ryan said “it’s the one thing I insisted on with the wedding, I told Marcella that we have to have Michael & Emi photograph” and we had such a wonderful time with them. Check out the fourth photo down in the post, because that will give you an idea for how fun these guys were. Isn’t that a riot! Ryan had no trouble accepting a dare to strip down to his skivies and jump into the hotel’s indoor pool that morning, but when we got to the pool, he opted for the humor of the hot tub instead. This shot captures the essence of Ryans’ carefree, goofy personality. He is a hoot!

The weather reports warned of rain that day, but we got gorgeous soft light breaking through clouds for the photos before and during the ceremony. Once the ceremony was over, it poured! We were all thankful for the way that worked out. The University of Redlands offered some wonderful photo backdrops with all the trees and stately architecture; there’s one image I love of the bridal party where you can see the foothills and the chapel in the background. We knew all the guys in the wedding party, so that made for a fun day as we walked around campus with everyone stopping here and there for a photo or two. Ryan and Marcella were great with the camera, and we were able to get some really fun images, as well as some amazing and dramatic ones. Congratulations Ryan & Marcella. We love you guys!
