I’ve been more than excited about this post for some time now, and I am so honored for the privilege to have worked with Bryan Clay just before he left for Beijing where he won the gold medal for Decathlon. We did a promotional piece for an editorial spread, and then Azusa Pacific University wanted to do a billboard for Bryan (Bryan is an ‘03 Alumnus). Then just after winning the gold they updated the billboard, and added a few more locations, so you can now see 3 of these billboards on the 210 East near Irwindale, the 605 North near the 10 connector, and the last one is at The Block at Orange. These are a few more of the other photos that we took for the editorial piece. Bryan is a phenomenal athlete, and it was quite amazing to photograph him in action. We’ve been excited about blogging these images for a while, it was a really fun day of experimenting with light, and exploring the desert! Marilyn & Jeff were both amazing models. They had no problem looking sexy in the desert, and their getup really made these shots work. They chose the location because they saw our Big Bear session, and they wanted something unique as well. We love these themed sessions, and it’s what we hope for with all our clients.

Daniel proposed to Shannon at Palisades Beach Club in Santa Monica, so we thought it would be a great place for their engagement photos. Daniel’s family have been members for generations, and I’m so glad they mentioned the club because I LOVED the shots we got! The beach house made for a really relaxed atmosphere with cute, simple decor and a great deck that I enjoyed using in several of my shots. The club is right on the beach, so we ran off the deck to grab some shots on the sand as well. It’s a perfect spot to take family, and evidently perfect for romance too! Shannon and Dan were great models, and so fun-loving with each other, really, my job was easy that day, amazing location, great couple, beautiful light.
