ANNA’S GETTING MARRIED!!!

Our very own Anna is engaged! Several months ago actually, and she’s getting married next month! We are super excited for her and Jake. Anna has worked for us for the past year and a half doing design work for our studio and helping with all of our processing. She is AMAZING! and we absolutely love her, couldn’t survive without her. She’s been such a blessing to our evoke family this past year and we couldn’t be happier for her and Jake to start their life together.

We did a little studio session with them a few months ago, and Anna designed her Save the Date card. We thought we’d share this cuteness with you. We just shot their engagement session last week, which we’ll be posting soon, so stay tuned… cause they are HOT!!

Aiko & Graham – Griffith Observatory

This session was shot on the most beautiful day right after we had rain, which gave us fresh clean air, and crisp blue skies that just added to the dramatic setting. We happened to go on a day with very few people visiting, which was nice. I Love shooting at the Griffith Observatory! Aiko & Graham are such a cute couple, so my job was easy. We booked Aiko and her sister Mariko together, and photographed Marikos’ wedding back in August. Aiko and Grahams’ wedding was in beautiful Monterey CA (pics to follow) and it was fun to reunite with a lot of friends and family from her sister’s wedding. Check back soon for their wedding pics!

Melody & John – Engagement Session, Pasadena

Melody and John were going for a dramatic, artistic look to their session, so I scouted out Pasadena, and found some new spots with amazing color and texture for backgrounds. I absolutely love the color in these images and the hazy glow light and shadows on the building. The combination of the background and light working together made for some really beautiful images, and they brought the drama with their model faces, and up for anything attitude! As I’m sure you can see from the images, this couple is really sweet together. Their demeanor and personalities really suite each other, and they are a pleasure to be around. I’m excited for their upcoming wedding!

Keti & Niksa – Engagement Session, Palos Verdes

Keti use to come to this park as a little girl. When she mentioned the beach I thought it would be just your typical sand and waves, but this spot made for the perfect location with some really interesting backdrops and elements to work with. The lovely couple brought their little dog Kiki, who barked and whimpered almost the entire session unless Niksa was holding her. “She is very much a daddy’s girl” Keti said and it is true! She wanted nothing to do with Keti, which I thought was so funny! We actually photographed their wedding last month, and despite the rain (story to come later), we have some amazing images to share, so stay tuned.

Casey & Matt – Engagement Session, LA

This super fun couple wanted to do a hip, urban session in LA. I had some spots in mind, but I arrived early to the session and had time to drive around and look for new spots. I love discovering new places to shoot, in LA you have to be careful about what neighborhoods you drive into, but I found some really cool graffiti walls, and it turned out that was exactly what they wanted! Casey totally turned on the drama for the camera, and she brought out the fun side in Matt too. I could have photographed them all day.
