Marilyn & Jeff - Engagement, Joshua Tree
September 2, 2008 | Filed Under Editorial, Engagement, Wedding by emi | 5 Comments
We’ve been excited about blogging these images for a while, it was a really fun day of experimenting with light, and exploring the desert! Marilyn & Jeff were both amazing models. They had no problem looking sexy in the desert, and their getup really made these shots work. They chose the location because they saw our Big Bear session, and they wanted something unique as well. We love these themed sessions, and it’s what we hope for with all our clients.
We’d love to hear your comments!

The Rose Parade

Every year, the Rose Parade passes by our studio less than a block away, so we’ve camped out the night before the last two years in order to get good seats. Two years prior was a total bust, with torrential downpour during the whole parade, and last year we didn’t go, which made this year a little better for photo opportunities. Since I didn’t get these up earlier for you, I wanted to blog some of the random photos from The Rose Parade before I moved them to archive. The majority of these were shot with my 400mm 2.8 canon lens, which I’ve had a few people ask about. Enjoy the bright the colors, the mix of movement, and the patterns! Maybe we’ll see you out there in January!

Tracy & Rob - Trump National

What a fantastic time with had with Tracy and Rob! They are such a genuine couple. A few months prior to their wedding, Tracy and Rob took us out to dinner and we instantly connected and knew their day would be a joy to photograph. Tracy was simply aglow all day with her bright smiles, and happy heart and Rob was beaming from the moment he saw his bride. Trump offered us some beautiful scenes for photos, and Tracy and Rob were all for running around the property to see what we could get. The bridal party as well as all the family was really relaxed throughout the day (despite the immense heat) and we were able to just “be” there and photograph the beauty of their day. A big thanks to Heidi who refereed Tracy to us after photographing her wedding last year.
