Casey & Janel

After a wild engagement session with these two love birds (in Hollywood), Emi & I were ready to party with this crew till the wee hours! Janel & Casey had a fantastic evening planned at a private residence in San Juan Capistrano, which started early with Janel & her friends getting ready before the whole crew arrived. Check out Janel’s summer wedding dress, she looked amazing in it! Casey scored some serious points with the purchase of an antique engagement ring, and he did good, cause it was pretty amazing. Probably one of the coolest rings we’ve seen! We had way too much fun with Janel & Casey (she wouldn’t stop smiling), and the whole party was a blast to work with. Guys, sorry we couldn’t stay till 3am to keep the party flames stoked, but thanks for the invite.

Karen & Robert

I think so far this is one of our longest posts. Karen & Robert were married at the fabulous Four Seasons Hotel in Beverly Hills. We had such a great time photographing at this venue; the location, the light and the fun couple made for amazing photographs. As an added bonus we saw Mark Wahlberg in the restaurant having lunch with his two kids. I started to choose blog images and then Michael wanted to help make the selection, so this is what you get when neither of us can decide. Our combined favorites are now the never-ending post! So sit back and enjoy all the images.

This is one of my favorite images. Walking through the hotel lobby, I saw this wall that had “Old Victorian Style” written all over it.

Karen with her two brothers. This image is classic!

The light under the huppah was perfect.

Traci & Gareth

We started the day off with Traci at a hotel in Huntington Beach, then on to St. Bonaventure Catholic Church for the ceremony, and then drove down the coast into Newport Beach for the reception. Balboa Island has some great photo opportunities, you just have to dodge the beach-goers and the occasional frisbee. We were able to get some romantic shots of the bride & groom in a few locations before we headed into their reception which was just down the street at the historic Balboa Pavilion. The Balboa Pavilion is one of California’s last surviving examples of the great waterfront recreational pavilions from the turn of the century (You like that? Snagged it right from their website.)
