Therese & Henry

I had so much fun with Therese, Henry and their little dog Patch! He was such a poser! We went around Pasadena and found some cool spots for pics.  I love how much Therese smiles, Henry and Patch keep her laughing.

We’re in beautiful Hawaii right now (we’ll post a few photos of our Chicago trip and some pics from O’ahu soon) but we brought some work with us and we wanted to catch up on some blogging, so to start things off,  here’s a few images from Flor & Rene’s wedding.

Chicago!

September 7, 2007 | Filed Under Check it out, Personal by michael | 3 Comments

Yeah! We’re out in Chicago for Sarah & Brian’s wedding, which is on Saturday, and we’re loving this city. We got here about midday after an earlier 6am flight, and once we had checked in to our hotel we hit the sidewalks to see the city. So far, I’m really impressed with how clean this city is, and how fantastic the food is. Emi & I had world famous pizza at Giordano’s on the recommendations of several people (thanks Casey & Jonathan), which lived up to it’s reputations as being simply amazing pizza. So the word is, if you haven’t had Chicago style pizza you can go online to Giordano’s and order a pizza and they will ship it to you, wherever you live! How cool is that. I would highly recommend it. We’re going to try several of the other “must eats” tomorrow.

Ok so we have to tell you, we looked around for hotels and really wanted something that had that historic Chicago feel, and something that was right in the heart of the city, so we finally chose The Drake Hotel, which is really an amazing place to say. If you’ve ever been to the Biltmore in Los Angeles, it has that similar feel, a lot of history and a central location. Check out the photo that I took from our room on the 9th floor. If you ever make your way to Chicago make sure you put The Drake on your list of places to stay.

This is the view of Michigan Ave going north and just a corner of Lake Michigan.
