Every year, the Rose Parade passes by our studio less than a block away, so we’ve camped out the night before the last two years in order to get good seats. Two years prior was a total bust, with torrential downpour during the whole parade, and last year we didn’t go, which made this year a little better for photo opportunities. Since I didn’t get these up earlier for you, I wanted to blog some of the random photos from The Rose Parade before I moved them to archive. The majority of these were shot with my 400mm 2.8 canon lens, which I’ve had a few people ask about. Enjoy the bright the colors, the mix of movement, and the patterns! Adam proposed to Aviva at the Point Vicente Lighthouse and they had the idea to have their e-pics taken there, but the lighthouse is only open to the public once a month, and wouldn’t you know, it’s always a Saturday. So we opted for the second best option, and photographed next door at the Point Vicente Interpretive Center. We had some incredible views, beautiful landscaping to work in and I was even able to get the lighthouse in the background of some of the images! Aviva and Adam had their beautiful wedding at the Atheneum at Cal Tech (yes we’ve already photographed it) and we’ll be posting soon, but we wanted to share these images first.

We snuck Kristina & Erik in for a quick engagement session 3 days before their wedding, and I wanted to blog a few from their session before we blogged their wedding photos. We ran around downtown Pasadena together to grab some fun urban pics, and I really got a sense of their admiration for each other and their deep friendship. These two go together like a 57 chevy and fuzzy dice! You’re going to love their wedding pics!
